SWANA holds its annual inspection tour in the late summer/early autumn under the guidance of qualified Swedish judges. The inspection tour schedule is announced in late spring.
To attend an inspection:
- The horse needs to be registered (or the registration process needs to be begun, with all fees paid and paperwork received by the office)
- You must be the horse's owner of record. A transfer of ownership will need to be completed if you are not the horse's owner of record.
- You must be an Active, Life, or Junior member.
Inspections are offered in the following categories:
Registered SWB Book I horses who receive a Class III or higher at inspection are eligible to be branded with the Swedish Crown logo. Registered SWBs of other books must receive Class I or II at inspection. Horses can return for later evaluation and branding. (Branding is optional.) The brand is a hot iron brand applied to the left thigh of the horse. Branding is an additional fee for all horses.
